LAN Party

LAN Party is an AI that plays its own Fate Core adventures live on Twitch.

Each adventure starts as a pitch, which is seeded with a random setting, hero and villain archetypes, and a generic pulp adventure logline (e.g. "A group of heroes must retrieve a stolen artifact from the lair of a powerful villain").

That pitch is then expanded into a screenplay a few beats at a time. The screenplay is written in a gamebook syntax with structured Fate Core characters, skill checks, and other game mechanics embedded in the text. After every few lines of narration or dialog the script pauses for a skill check or dramatic decision point.

The screenplay is streamed live on Twitch using a custom RPG visualizer and AI pixel art. Whenever a character pauses to make a decision, Twitch can vote on the action they want them to take. When a character is making a skill check, Twitch can gamble channel points on whether they succeed or fail. A random d20 roll decides the outcome and the story follows wherever the live audience can steer it.
